About Us
Los Alamos is a tiny town on California’s Central Coast, nestled in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley, tucked between Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo. With a population of around 1700, there’s two dozen shops, eateries, and wine rooms on our one main street. These include Bell’s, a Michelin-starred bistro; Full of Life Flatbread, a multiple award-winning restaurant; and the much praised bakery, Bob’s Well Bread. Since 2018, we’ve also enjoyed legitimate theatre by way of The Los Alamos Theatre Group.
The LATG is a zero profit assemblage of actors, musicians, technicians, carpenters, designers, and clever friends. All volunteers, most of us maintain full time jobs. The LATG donates the money we receive from ticket sales to non-profit organizations. We present two plays each year.
To date, with our sincere thanks to everyone who purchased tickets, we’ve been able to produce twelve original plays. A generous local benefactor gave us a theatre space in town, at zero cost to us. Our troupe has grown from 8 to 25. We’ve gotten local businesses involved in supporting roles, and our audience grows with each new production.
